Brett heads up a niche operating partnership model targeted at Venture Capital and Private Equity and Family
Offices. His general management skills in the Technology, Telecommunications and the Media & Entertainment
sector include M&A, strategy, board governance and investment analysis. He has proven himself as an apolitical
front runner in a wide variety of business life cycles and has extensive board level experience.
• Until Q2 2021, he headed up the Commercial Strategy Group for Technical Operations within NBC Universal.
Prior to NBCU, he was the President: Delivery Operations of Deluxe Entertainment in Hollywood (2016), the
Managing Director of Encompass Digital Media (2013) and the Strategy Director of Arqiva Broadcast &
Media (2008), with the last two roles based out of London.
• He has provided strategic advisory services to a range of clients, consulting widely to the largest banking,
telecommunications and media groups in Africa, the MENA Gulf region and across Asia including mainland
China.
• In 1998 he co-founded Global Access Telecommunications (SA) with Loral Cyberstar (NASDAQ: LORL) which
became the universal leader in narrowcast satellite business television services.
• Besides being on the executive committee of Deluxe, Encompass and Arqiva, Brett has also served on
several boards including:
o Sohonet (Managed Services - Network connectivity, real-time Collaboration & Cloud storage)
o Crystal Communication (IP powered & integrated video workflows & ecosystems)
o Connecting Africa (VSAT, Wireless Broad Band & Evacuation services and solutions)
o Chairman of the World Teleport Association (Advocacy for the global teleport community)
o Sasani Limited (JSE listed Film & Television Group)
